Just in front of the windows at Ormes de Pez, you cannot fail to notice the fascinating hundred-year old walnut tree that lies horizontally on the grass as the result of a storm. It sits in place of the old elm trees (ormes) that the domaine was named after. Guests at the Ormes de Pez also appreciate the two enormous magnolia trees that flower year-round near to the swimming pool.
Inscribed between the ''Drops of God''
This magical and timeless place appears in volume 24 of the famous manga The Drops of God by Tadashi Agi, drawn by Shu Okimoto. The hero, Shizuku Kanzaki, follows in his father's footsteps by taking part in the Médoc marathon. He meets Jean-Michel Cazes who gives him a glass of Château Ormes de Pez 2003 and much more…
